Knights templar ring

Silver ring representing the seal of the Templar Order.

This ring comes from our workshop, it is manufactured according to our own design from the historic seal of the order belonging to the master of the order Renaud de Vichiers.

The order of the temple was created in 1129 and its knights had the function to protect the pilgrims on their journey to Jerusalem during the crusades.

The plate of the ring takes again the drawing of two knights of the order mounted on the same horse whereas the edge of the plate is struck with the inscriptions: sigillum militum xpisti which means seal of the army of Christ.

You will notice on the plate of the ring the details of the engraving of the knights where the horse's mane, the reindeers, shields, lance, and helmets of the knights can distinguish it.

You will notice on the amounts of the ring the two engraved shields receiving the cross of the Templars molded in relief.

All the hollows of the ring are oxidized black to bring out all the details of the seal and the inscription.
