Antique Egyptian ring in 18k gold.
This ring is a reproduction of an antique ring on display in a museum. This is an Egyptian ring dating from a period extending from the 7th to the 4th century BC. This is a rotating ring in 18 carat yellow gold adorned with an intaglio cut green jasper stone and representing Egyptian deities in the form of hieroglyphics.
On one of the faces we can recognize the representation of Ptah, demiurge of Memphis and father of Nefertoum, he is the god of craftsmen and architects. On the other side is inscribed in hierophlyphics Amon-Re, one of the most important Egyptian gods.
The intaglio cut stone is inserted into a solid yellow gold ring which mounted on the ring ring, allows it to turn on itself and thus show each of its faces.
The ring is composed of a round wire of variable section, quite wide in the lower part and becoming thinner in the upper part. At its ends a fine gold wire is wound and welded in place, giving an effect of original style and a pronounced antique style.
The intaglio stone is 16 millimeters long by 14 millimeters wide, engraved on both sides.
The ring weighs approximately 2 grams in 18k gold in size 6. Note that the gold weight of your ring may vary slightly depending on your finger size.
