Gold Egyptian ring
Antique Egyptian signet-ring in 18-karats gold.
This ring is a reproduction of an antique ring on display in a museum. This is an Egyptian ring dating from a period extending from the 7th to the 4th century BC. This is a rotating seal ring in 18-karats yellow gold adorned with intaglio jasper stone and representing Egyptian deities in the form of hieroglyphics.
On one of the faces we can recognize the representation of Ptah, the demiurge of Memphis and father of Nefertoum, he is the god of craftsmen and architects. On the other side is inscribed in hieroglyphics Amon-Re, one of the most important Egyptian gods.
The intaglio stone is inserted into a solid yellow gold bezel which is mounted on the ring's shank, allowing it to turn on itself and thus show each of its faces. It depends on you to choose which face of the intaglio seal face you want to show on your finger.
The ring is composed of a round wire of variable section, quite wide in the lower part and becoming thinner in the upper part. At its ends a fine gold wire is wound and welded in place, giving an original and a pronounced antique style.
The intaglio stone is 16 millimeters long by 14 millimeters wide, engraved on both sides. It can be used as a seal to press on hot wax, as it was used in antiquity by Egyptians.
The ring weighs approximately 2 grams in 18-karats gold in size 6. Consider that the gold weight of your ring may vary slightly depending on your finger size.
This ring is only available in 18k yellow gold, in order to stay as close as possible to the original antique ring, it can be made in other gold colors on request.
