Vintage sapphire engagement ring
This is a vintage-style sapphire engagement ring in 18-karats gold.
This ring is directly inspired by antique engagement ring designs. It is composed of a fine shank very sober, a round gold wire that comes to support basket where is set the main sapphire, central piece of this engagement ring.
You will notice all around the blue sapphire, the halo setting of diamonds composed of 16 small round diamonds set by prongs. These diamonds give while light flashes of light all around the deep blue sapphire stone, making an appreciated color contrast.
The blue sapphire is 5 millimeters in diameter and is AAA quality and weighs 0,5 carats. It is set in place by the 16 prongs that also set the small diamonds of the halo setting around the main stone.
The diamonds are 1,2 millimeters large, with G color and VS2 quality, each one of them weighs 0,006 carats for a total of 0,095 carats of diamond for the 16 stones.
As you may know, antique luxurious rings were rarely set with diamonds as diamonds started to be trendy in the 40s. Back then, sapphires and rubies were the most precious stones a Prince or King could offer to his loved one.
This ring is 8 millimeters large with the halo setting on the top and only 2,5 millimeters large at the bottom for a weight of 3 grams in 18-karats gold in size 6. Please, be aware that the weight of your ring can slightly vary depending on your ring size.
When ordering your ring, you can choose the color of 18 karats gold via the drop-down side menu, your choice: yellow gold, white, or rose gold.
Who is this ring for?
Engagement ring designed for a woman looking for a traditional design with a sapphire rather than the classic and now a common diamond. This woman is looking for a colored gemstone that is clearly visible on the finger without getting too massive a design that would make wearing it unattractive in everyday life.
