This nice sapphire ring is set with a round cabochon-cut sapphire that is 6 millimeters in diameter. The design of the ring is very simple to offer a refined design highlighting the deep blue color of the natural sapphire stone. The precious stone is bezel set on a base which is welded to the body of the ring made of twisted gold wires giving a unique style to this jewel.
Blue sapphire stone
Blue sapphire is a corundum mineral with traces of iron and titanium giving it its deep blue color. Sapphire is very durable with a hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale. It has been considered a precious stone since the dawn of time and still is. The cabochon cut allows the mineral to show the strength of the deep bleu color of the mineral. This gemstone combines very well with all three colors of gold but is mainly used with white and yellow gold.
This ring is 6.5 millimeters wide at the level of the cabochon and 1.2 millimeters wide at the level of the ring body in twisted threads for a gold weight of 1 gram in size US 6. Note that the gold weight of your ring may vary slightly depending on your finger size.
