Dainty blue sapphire ring in 18-karat gold.
This ring presents a 2,5 millimeters sapphire gemstone set on a thin setting. You can see in the picture the delicate shank that changes its shape from bottom to top.
The blue sapphire stone is located in the upper opening of the shank, set in place by each arm extremity of the shank. Notice that the sapphire is not tension set as the ring is not opened with a small piece of metal joining both shank extremities beneath the gemstone.
The shank is 1,7 millimeters large by 1,1-millimeter thick at the bottom while at the top it is 2,5 millimeters large by 2,5 millimeters thick giving a unique style and making it look very delicate while being robust.
Note that being quite thick on the upper part, the shank is hollowed out to spare gold weight.
This ring weighs 2 grams only in 18k gold in size US 8. Note that the 18k gold weight may vary slightly depending on your finger size.
