This circular pendant represents the Aztec sun with an Aztec eagle engraved in relief at its center. This eagle is inspired from ancient eagle representation found on Aztec monuments adapted to this pendant design.
You will notice the specific shape of the round pendant, that is a reproduction of the Aztec sun with sun rays represented as stairs. This is a unique eagle pendant design from our workshop.

The eagle was closely associated with the sun, which the Aztecs revered as the giver of life and energy. The eagle was the emblem of the Eagle Warriors (Cuāuhpipiltin), an elite military order. These warriors were admired for their courage, strength, and role in capturing enemies for ritual sacrifice — a vital act to sustain the gods. Eagle also symbolises the spiritual soul’s ascent to the heavens after death
