Women engagement ring with natural lapis lazuli stone and diamonds made of 18k gold.
This is quite a vintage design of engagement ring mixing both natural lapis lazuli stone and diamonds. There is one main diamond set in the center of the ring while the lapis lazuli stone is set inlay on both sides of the shank of the ring which is going larger from the bottom to the top.
Lapis lazuli is quite an incredible stone that was used by kings and pharaohs in the past and still gives jewelry an incredible look. You will find more information about natural lapis lazuli stone here.
The lapis lazuli stone inlaid on the sides of the ring is cut from a block of rough stone, cut, and manually adjusted before being glued in place.
On each side of the stone, the lapis lazuli is surrounded by 18 small round diamonds of 1 millimeter in diameter. In total 36 small diamonds are set, with H color and SI clarity, they totalize a weight of 0,14 carat of diamond.
The ring body is thin at the bottom, only 2,5 millimeters wide, it is flared to be 5 millimeters wide at the top where the central diamond of the ring is positioned, this diamond is 3 millimeters in diameter.
This main diamond is G color and VS2 clarity and weighs 0,1 carat. It is set in place by 4 flat prongs which let the light pass by. You will notice that the diamond is flush with the edge of the ring uprights, protecting it from knocks and friction that it could receive.
This ring weighs 2.6 grams of 18 karat gold in size 7 and has a total diamond weight of 0,24 carats. Note that the gold weight of your ring may vary slightly depending on your finger size.
