This silver band ring is 8 millimeters large and shows Aztec patterns engraved inside the silver band of the ring. The black oxidized silver gives a very nice color constrast to these aztec patterns. This ring is engraved on half of his perimeter with three Aztec symbols, a swirl, a spiral with stairs and another swirl, all separated by two vertical lines. 

This ring of engrabing is very similar to those you will find engraved on Aztec temples in Mexico.

The swirling shapes are volutes or scrolls, which are commonly used in Aztec art to represent wind, speech, and breath—all associated with the deity Ehecatl, the god of wind. While the combination of the stairway and spiral symbolizes the initiatory path, the journey of the soul’s evolution through the cycles of life and death.
