The ring is large and made of plain 18k gold which makes it quite heavy, so this is a men's intaglio ring. The top of the signet ring is 19 millimeters long by 16 millimeters large while the carnelian intaglio stone is 16 x 13 millimeters large and 2 millimeters thick.
