Lion Signet Ring

Rampant lion signet ring for men in 18-karats gold.

The lion has always been a figure of strength, respect, and power since middle age, in particular for the European nobles' families that used it frequently for the making of their coat of arms and family symbols.

This signet ring is a direct inspiration of such ancient heraldic rings using the rampant lion's figure. It shows a shield-shaped top which gives it an original design. On the top is molded in relief a rampant lion showing his tongue, the tail, the mane, and his claws.

This ring is finished with a gold polish lion 3D molded while the plateau is finished with brushed gold.

Did you know that the Royal Arms of England are three lions and it comes from the French Plantagenêt family coat of arms which is made of two lions?

As you can see in the pictures, you have an example of such a ring custom-made for a client of ours with the rampant lion engraved and painted black. While being different from the original model, this shows you the design of the lion contrasting on the white gold.

The shape of the signet ring and its engraving make it a particularly original model that will delight the followers of heraldic art.

The ring top is 14 millimeters long by 11 millimeters wide while the engraved lion is 10 millimeters high by 8 millimeters wide. This size is large enough to see the details of the fur of the lion.

Note that the lion can also be intaglio engraved on request, as we did for one of our customers whose attached photos show the engraving of the lion and initials on the amounts of the ring.

This ring weighs about 6 grams in size US 8. Please, be aware that the gold weight of your ring can slightly vary depending on your finger size.

When ordering your ring, you can choose the color of 18 karats gold via the drop-down side menu, your choice: yellow gold or white gold.

Please take into account a manufacturing lead time of 6 weeks for the manufacture of the latter in our workshop before shipping your package.

We master every step of the making process of your jewelry, from CAD modeling, 3D printing, lost wax casting, and precious metal handiwork, to the setting of gemstones and diamonds, which allows us to guarantee the quality of our jewelry.
